Since its establishment in 1965, the United Nations Development Programme has been working in more than 170 countries to help people live better, fairer, and more secure lives. It addresses issues like poverty and inequality, but also supporting countries in times of crisis. UNDP focuses on creating long-term change that lasts. It works closely with governments, local communities, and NGOs to tackle problems, whether that is climate change, democratic governance, political problems, or the economy. At LAMUN, UNDP would let delegates have a platform to talk about these issues.
